is recruiting a part time, or freelance graphic designer. The position could be full time with additional responsibilities.

Rug and Graphic Designer 

The Designer for Kush Rugs is responsible for creation of custom artwork, production management, and development of marketing materials. This role works closely with our sales staff and their clients (High-end Interior Designers + Architects) as well as ownership to develop thoughtful and dynamic rug designs. Specific roles include, but are not limited to: 

Artwork Creation 

Produces custom artwork for residential and commercial specifications based off of mood boards and inspirational images. Works closely with sales staff to ensure custom designed products to exceed client expectations. Meets with ownership and sales team to develop new stock design in qualities for various producers semi-annually. Engages with visual artists to develop their designs into high-end products. 

Production Management 

Designs production-ready artwork to share with producers. Answers any questions related to custom and stock orders between operations manager and vendors in Asia. Develops new weaves/dye techniques to implement with vendors overseas. 

Marketing 

Collaborates with ownership to schedule print/email marketing campaigns that are dynamic and engaging to high-end clients. Creates any necessary marketing materials in-house. Advises ownership on typographic decisions.

Qualifications:

• At minimum Photoshop. Ideally Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Must be detail oriented and deliver polished work on a time frame.
• The ability to learn new programs.
